Welcome to the Raspberry-Pi-Monitoring-Network wiki!

This wiki wants to help you to use your Raspberry Pi to monitoring your local network. I've based on this great work done by Hacking Etico team. This is the link (in Spanish): http://hacking-etico.com/2014/10/29/raspberry-sniffing-el-juguete-oculto/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=evergreen_post_tweeter&utm_campaign=website They show you how do it. Installing tshark, ssmtp, mpack and mailsutil.

Also I've installed Nagios on my server to add "an extra" monitoring my router and all the computers on my home. To do this, I've based on this post (In Spanish too): http://www.tropiezosenlared.com/instalar-y-configurar-nagios-para-la-monitorizacion-de-equipos-en-la-red/

This link show you using Nagios how can you use Nagios to monitoring your router and also your computer using a application.

But I've tried to do this without another application on my computer. So I've take some cfg files used by Nagios on Raspberry Pi and I've edited it. The cfg files are very similar than Nagios uses on localhost, I just have edited the file to use it on remote computer on my local network.

The repo has the file explained on this links including the changes that you need to edit for your personal local network.

I wish that this repo will help you and if you find any mistake or something that could do it better let me know please.
