Description

V7 release

  • Crypto refactor (Feature/lit 2382 js sdk refactor crypto and other wasm based modules #503) - shout out to @joshLong145 for killer work on this

    • 3 WASM modules were combined into a single module. This resulted in a significant reduction of bundle size; crypto is now under 400kb - approximately half the size of the previous implemention using 3 wasm modules.
    • WASM is loaded 'on-demand' the first time one of our crypto methods are called, instead of loading it when the module is loaded
    • Explicit 'loadModules' calling is no longer necessary; this has been removed from the API
    • We no longer mutate the global object with our crypto SDK instance
    • Crypto API methods are now async
    • WASM methods are now strongly typed!
