Semantics Object Type Organisation

Organisations come in many forms and we propose a typology to identify different types of organisations. Below a list with descriptions.

Venue

This is mostly a cover term for organisations that host concerts.

Festival

Festivals normally consist of a name of the festival + the year (or any other temporal indication). E.g. Rock Werchter 2019. Every edition of a festival should have its own organisation.

Festival ground

Festivals are sometimes organised in specific organisations, which sometimes deserve seperate mention. As an example, the Dour Festival is regularly organised at PLAINE DE LA MACHINE À FEU.

Some concerts are organised in a public space, e.g. the main square of a city.

Municipality

Some concerts are organised by a municipality.
