Installation Guides

Kathará is cross-platform and supports all the main Operating Systems.

To install Kathará, choose your OS and follow the instructions.

Linux

We support all the main Linux distributions:

• Debian-based
• Red-Hat based
• Arch based

Windows

Both Windows 10 and Windows 11 are supported. The installation guide is available here.

Older version of Windows (7/8/8.1) are supported using Docker Toolbox until Kathará 2.2.4. See Issue #109.

MacOS

We support both x86 and arm64 versions of MacOS. The installation guide can be found here.

Megalos (Kathará over Kubernetes)

Kathará offers a Manager (called Megalos) that allows to use Kubernetes as a backend virtualization system. The procedure to configure the Kubernetes cluster for Megalos can be found here.
