Changes to the MATLAB® ICT
As of this writing (14.03.2021), the MATLAB® Instrument Control Toolbox (ICT) is undergoing a transitional phase where old functions are being phased out. This also affects functions used in this repository, namely:
The visa class, currently used in this repository was introduced before R2006a and will be removed in future releases (exact date unknown).
Its functionality and the functionality of the gpib class will be replaced by the new visadev class, introduced with R2021a.
There exists an article on the MathWorks Help Center here, which describes how to replace the old code.
I am planning to update the code to the new functionality, but I have jet to familiarise myself with it. To keep track of the changes, see the Instrument Control Toolbox Release Notes.
With the recent release of R2022a on the 9. of March a new support package for IVI & VXIplug&play drivers has been added (see here). This support page here has also some good information on setup and troubleshooting.
