This repository is dedicated to the Green Button Alliance OpenADE Task Force. We focus on the following tasks.
- Discuss enhancements for the North American Energy Standards Board Retail Market Quadrant Book 21 Energy Service Provider Interface (a.k.a. NAESB REQ.21 ESPI) standard.
- Discuss NAESB REQ.21 ESPI standard implementation issues.
- Discuss improvements for the Green Button Alliance Download My Data (DMD) and Connect My Data (CMD) certification procedure and testing.
- Discuss improvements to and additions for the NAESB REQ.21 ESPI standard implementation documentation.

Want to participate? Great! The OpenADE Task Force is open to everyone, so we welcome any company or individual who wants to provide input.
- Read anything on our repository, website, or mailing list. To join the mailing list contact the Green Button Alliance.
- Ask or answer questions on the mailing list.
- Attend and participate in non-member meetings on our calendar.
- Comment on an issue in our repository.
- Comment on pull requests.
- Fork our repository and play around with our code and documentation on your own (we're open source!).
Things you can do if you become a GBA member:
- Contribute comments, suggestions, or other content that will be included in our NAESB ESPI Standard updates.
- Join and participate in general discussion on our Slack channel with other GBA members.
- Open pull requests with proposed changes to our repository or NAESB ESPI Standard updates or corrections.
NOTE: It's okay if you're not yet a GBA member and comment on something (update, issue, pull request, mailing list, etc.). We want your input to be incorporated into our specifications.
This working group focuses on:
- Developing additional digital information for customer energy data access, which will then be submitted to NAESB as request for inclusion in the NAESB REQ.21 ESPI standard.
- Developing clear easy to understand NAESB REQ.21 ESPI standard implementation documentation.
- Developing additional DMD and CMD Certification coverage as implementors of the NAESB REQ.21 ESPI standard find new uses to inform customer's of their energy consumption.
