this paper cited wasabi (http://wasabiapp.org/about/) which was how i tracked it down

the ability to set highlighting of sets of rows as a solid background color instead of the per-letter color scheme i think is interesting too

random other note: we don't currently handle '.' in MSA's properly i think, might need investigation
