1.
-
Delete the files:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
and
~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.Bluetooth.<string>.plist
where
<string>
is a combination of alpha-numeric characters and dashes. -
Power down the Mac
-
Wait for one minute
-
Turn the Mac back on
-
It might be that I removed the Device in the Bluetooth settings before performing this steps (can't remember)
-
It might be that I switched the Device of during boot up of the Mac and only turned it on afterwards (can't remember)
- In Apples
Bluetooth Explorer
(available with developer account): - Go to
Tools
→Modify Software and Device Configuration
- Select one (or all of the following, don't know which one worked in the end):
Delete link keys from the Bluetooth module
Delete all link keys from the local software stores (e.g Bluetooth Prefs)
-
Remove all favorite devices
(pretty sure that this one did work/help solve the problem) Restart the Bluetooth daemon ('bluetoothd') pro
- Click on
Perform actions
- Restart Bluetooth in the menu bar.
