This release documents the version and branch of PadeOps used in preparing the manuscript "Assessment of diffuse-interface methods for compressible multiphase fluid flows and elastic-plastic deformation in solids", by Suhas S. Jain, Michael C. Adler, Jacob R. West, Ali Mani, Parviz Moin, and Sanjiva K. Lele, intended for submission to the Journal of Computational Physics in 2021.

This branch of PadeOps is suitable for simulating problems involving solids and fluids described by the stiffened gas EOS, and solids described by a hyperelastic constitutive equation. Both elastic and plastic deformations are tracked separately using a multiplicative decomposition. Several interface sharpening schemes are implemented, including the conservative scheme of Jain, Mani, and Moin, and the non-conservative scheme of Shukla, Pantano, and Freund.
