Add a `CLAUDE.md` file to provide structured context for AI-assisted development sessions using Claude Code. This file documents the project architecture, build commands, data flow, CI/CD pipeline, and git commit conventions so that each session starts with a shared understanding of the codebase rather than re-exploring from scratch. AI tools are used in this project to accelerate modernization work that would otherwise require significant time investment — updating a decade- old Flask stack, converting template engines, and building CI/CD pipelines. `CLAUDE.md` ensures this assistance is focused and productive by defining the scope and conventions of the project upfront.
