I managed to compile and run the program on Ubuntu 18.04. However I found several problems:

The menu does not come up when right clicking on device, sd, uPy_lib ...
I never managed to download any code from the workspace to the device. I had this problem also with the Qt4 version
The color on the on the QToolbar on the right stays black, qlineargradient does not seem to work. Strangely enough replacing qlineargradient with a fixed color works! (?)
