A storm took out our internet service for a few days and I got tired of checking the lights on the router. This script pings Google every minute, and puts the result to console. If it's successful, it plays "I saw the Sign" by Ace of Base.
This is tailored to my particular computer, which is running Windows. You'll need to provide your own music and change the path. This script won't work for those not running Windows, as it uses Windows Media Player to play the file.
