Crash Of The Titans Texture Pack

This is a texture pack created for the PlayStation 2 version of the game. Most of these textures were taken from the Xbox 360 version of the game. Others were upscaled or modified.

Compatibility

It's compatible with all the regions of the game:

  • NTSC-U (SLUS-21583)
  • PAL (SLES-54841)

Content

These are the improved textures included in this pack:

  • Cutscene characters (Xbox 360).
  • In-game characters (Xbox 360).
  • Fixed Coco hypnotised eyes.
  • Uka Uka red evil shield (Xbox 360 edit).
  • Various Crash textures (Xbox 360).
  • Various Carbon Crash textures (Xbox 360 edit).
  • Frontend (Mix of Xbox 360 and upscaled).
  • World textures (Xbox 360).
  • Main Menu (Mix of Xbox 360 and upscaled).
  • PlayStation button prompts (Upscaled/recreated).
  • Voodoo Dolls (Xbox 360).
  • Xbox 360 button prompts (Delete "PlayStation Buttons" folder to use).
  • All the found PAL font variants (Delete if too much weight).

How to use

Click on the "Code" button and select Download ZIP to download the pack. To use this texture pack you need PCSX2. Go into "textures" folder, if it doesn't exist create a folder with the game serial you're going to use (e.g. "SLES-XXXXX"), inside this folder create a folder named "replacements", and extract the texture pack inside. Your address should look something like this: "PCSX2\textures\SLES-XXXXX\replacements". To activate the texture pack, go to "Graphics" settings, "Texture Replacement" tab and activate "Load Textures", "Asynchronous Texture Loading" and "Prechache Textures".

Recommended way to play

On top of using the texture pack, it is recomended to do the following changes in the PCSX2 config settings to get the best experience:

  • If you use a widescreen, activate "Enable Widescreen Patches" in the Graphics settings.
  • In the game specific settings, go to Patches and activate 60 FPS if you are playing NTSC-U or 50 FPS if you are playing PAL (Do NOT activate the 60 FPS/Progressive Scan patch in PAL as it currently breaks the screen position), then also activate the 180% EE Overclock in Emulation settings for the game.
  • If you are playing a PAL version, go to Advanced settings, look for the PAL Frame Rate option and change it to 60 hz. Now the game will play in flawless 60 FPS.
