User Story

As a receiver of OTC data from ReportStream, I would like receive data that is accurate and validated.

Description/Use Case

NIH has updated the RADx MARS NIST validation profile to allow MSH 5 and 6 to permit values that point to CDC PRIME ReportStream (rather than just AIMS). Please update the RADx MARS topic to utilize the updated NIST profile.

NOTE: This only applies to the PRODUCTION profile, not ONBOARDING

Risks/Impacts/Considerations

  • Followup work, which is out of scope for this ticket, involves recontacting our OTC senders on this topic (MMTC and C2Sense) to check if they are using correct ReportStream MSH values.

Dev Notes

  • The profile updates were made solely to the "Production" profile group, not the "Onboarding" profile group. This update may follow, but no timeline exists yet.
  • The accepted values include BOTH ReportStream and AIMS values.

Acceptance Criteria

  • MARS_OTC_ELR topic uses the updated NIST Production profile
  • Victor C. and Chris K. notified of updates
