we probably should discuss if we transcribe titles or we translate/normalize them in descriptive metadata records, we never posed the problem. what do you think, @DenisNosnitsin1970 , ok so or better bitwaddad?
(in any case I assume the first d should be geminated)

I would say, it is "bətoddad" as it is a variant of the later standard "bitwaddad"

Thanks. At some point it would be nice to have a taxonomy/index for all titles where the variants can be brought together.

I changed it from occupation to role name 'title', but I think, one can also see it as a military 'rank'.

I do not remember, we can follow the Encyclopaedia aethiopica. And it is rather the title.

I understand this as a preference to keep the shwa in gərā.
Again, I find it difficult to distinguish between titles, ranks and occupation. I think, that it has been each in a certain time and in a certain context. However, I changed it to a title in this record.

It is rather "qes", though in many cases it looks like qis (opposition between -i- and -e- is expressed slightly differently, graphically).

I refrained from giving dates for the floruit, because I was not certain about it.

in case of PRS14088TaklaSyon.xml you wrote "Governor (Nagāśi) of ..." - maybe one could decide on the same wording and whether titles are explained or not

Yes. I think, I would prefer not to explain the title.
I updated the records according to Eugenia and Denis requests.
I updated titles in two records according to EAE V handlist.
