Support for Remote Philips Hue Tap #106
Comments
@dieneuser |
@FlorianLudwig Unfortunately there is no way to use the switch in ZHA yet. As I understand it, the GreenPower profile for Zigbee is missing in the zigpy module to support the remote. Only Deconz have support for that. |
@dieneuser @@FlorianLudwig There is a work-in-progress pull request to zigpy for Zigbee Green Power (ZGP) in zigpy/zigpy#519 FYI, Python programming help is wanted with code review there before PR can be merged into zigpy, and see -> zigpy/zigpy#519 |
FYI, zoic21 have made progress with ZGP for zigpy and is requesting regression testing of his new pull request in zigpy/zigpy#656
That is, he is asking people do functional and non-functional tests to ensure that his patch does not break any existing functions. If it does not break anything obvious in zigpy then it could possible be merged 'as-is' even if ZGP might be be fully production ready. |
@Hedda I don't have any usb-based zigbee at home currently and working/debugging over an embedded device is not much fun to be honest :] I will order something so I can test it via laptop. Delivery times vary a lot currently though |
Cool! As dresden elektronik is based in Germany I would not expect delivery of a new ConBee II would be long for you ;) https://www.amazon.de/-/en/ConBee-Universal-Zigbee-USB-Gateway-black/dp/B07PZ7ZHG5/ ....but maybe you meant a other Zigbee sniffer based on example Texas Instruments CC2531 or Silicon Labs EmberZNet NCP? https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/how_tos/how_to_sniff_zigbee_traffic.html |
Is it possible to connect a Philips Hue Tap (929001115262) remote to zha integration?
I am currently using a deConz docker container in HA to integrate all my lamps and much of the Philips remotes as wall switch. Now I would switch to the native ZHA integration. For a first test, I failed to pair the remote/switch to ZHA (pressing Button 2). Nothing happens. No Messages...
Integrating the lamps works without any problems.
Is the Hue tap supported or is a quirks implementation required?
