Summary

  1. open a new window instance of Zed
  2. toggle the git panel to be focused
  3. press cmd+w. Instead of closing the panel itself, or the buffer that's currently present on the screen, the whole window closes

Actual Behavior: The whole app window is closed

Expected Behavior: the buffer that's currently displayed or git panel should be closed instead

Zed Version and System Specs

Zed: v0.176.3 (Zed)
OS: macOS 15.3.1
Memory: 18 GiB
Architecture: aarch64

If applicable, attach your ~/Library/Logs/Zed/Zed.log file to this issue.

@pavles6 do you have a custom keybinding for cmd-w? It shouldn't close the window by default

This is happening even without git panel. If you open a new editor tab, then switch to left panel and press cmd+w the main window gets closed
