How would one customize the layout of the chart?

In order to make it responsive on different screen sizes, it would make sense to change the, for example, the layout of the legend and dock it below the chart and allow the chart to enlarge into a much more readable size.

At the moment, there's not way of customizing any of this and even to make it responsive we have to add some css in else there's no other way.
