Assistance with SNMP Monitoring for Dell M1000e and VRTX Chassis Using iDRAC MIBs

Dear Zabbix Community,

I am reaching out to seek guidance on configuring SNMP monitoring for Dell M1000e and VRTX chassis systems within Zabbix using the MIB files obtained from the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC).

Despite uploading the MIBs to my Zabbix proxy, I am encountering issues where the monitoring fails to initiate. The specific challenges I am facing are as follows:

1. After uploading the MIBs to the Zabbix proxy, the expected data is not being captured or displayed in Zabbix.
2. There are no clear error messages indicating what might be causing the monitoring to fail.
3. I have verified that SNMP is enabled on the iDRAC settings and that the necessary community strings and access configurations are set correctly.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions from the community on the following points:

• Are there known compatibility issues with the iDRAC MIBs and Zabbix that I should be aware of?
• Is there a specific process or set of best practices for importing and utilizing iDRAC MIBs within Zabbix?
• Could there be additional steps required to properly configure SNMP monitoring for Dell chassis systems that are not covered in the standard documentation?
