Using yomitan on Edge canary on my phone is actually pretty good, it feels faster and less laggy than Kiwi and has some cool browser features that I'm already kinda used to on my laptop so I'll probably fully switch over to edge canary next year when I get a new phone. The only big difference I've noticed so far is that there's 0 options for tts on yomitan edge canary. Tts is important to me so I'd like to request this feature that the other platforms have. Even just having the option to use the engines built in/installed through a separate tts app like I already do on kiwi browser would be great.
But if there's any digging into this, I wonder how easily the native tts options to edge (canary) could be accessed.. that would mean I don't even have to use another separate app for neural tts voices on mobile ! But that's just a wish.
Speaking of the already installed tts voices on edge, I found some interesting discrepancy between using the chrome version and edge version of yomitan both on edge browser (windows laptop).
I've always used the chrome version of yomitan and there's always been a ton of tts voices because it's edge browser. It probably is all their available voices.
But I had the chance to install the edge version on an edge browser and there are voices but only for a few languages, the number difference is pretty big. This is all on the newest edge version which is like 24.12.10.2.
This one I don't care too much about because I'll probably just keep using the chrome version on edge browser on my laptop, unless you guys say it's better to use the edge extension for edge browser ?
But it would be awesome to at least see the same tts option available to kiwi browser.
Thanks !
