Plex is super easy way to watch local stuff with subtitles in browser but yomitan does not "see" those subtitles - could this be added as a functionality? It would give us the option of not using mpv players which do not work well on Firefox

asbplayer should work with plex in browser. You could try using that if you want to use Yomitan with plex.
