Vite 5 not supported

Describe the bug

It seems like this doesn't work with Vite 5 – no transformation happens, shareworker doesn't work. Seems like the repo lists Vite 5 in the package.json, but latest release is from last year that lists Vite 5 as a dependency.

Is it as simple as making a new release or are there any other outstanding items?
