How to download in mp3?

I've managed to get the Tidal-dl app to download the target files, but they are in m4a format, I want to switch to mp3, but see no option? I understand it's not ideal to convert m4a into mp3, as this leads to compounded loss.

Why would you want to download to mp3 in the first place? Just keep it as FLAC.

Just download in .flac, and convert to .mp3/320kbps.

The app supports M4a and Flac. It appears tidal chose M4a over mp3 for their normal quality tracks.
