What is the process to handle ATMEGA32U4 ChipTypes? #14

I see that you have comments ready to be implemented to handle boards with the chip type of ATMEGA32U4 and the upload protocol of AVR109 ... is this a major undertaking to implement? Is there any where you can point me to for some direction on how to do it? Or maybe an alternative to do it for the time being?

avrdude sources would be a good start. You will need to port the protocol to java.
