Hey everyone!
Like many of you, I was a huge fan of PulseEffects and I love the upgrade to EasyEffects. The only problem? I have a folder with... let's just say... a lot of old PulseEffects presets that I've fine-tuned over the years.
I really didn't want to recreate them all by hand, so I've been working on a Python script that converts the old, defunct .json files into the new format that EasyEffects (v6.0+) can actually read. I used some scripts I found online, but they didn't work (for me).
My day job is all Enterprise Architecture and Security, so programming is more of a (fun?) side quest for me. After a lot of trial and error (and discovering some settings their format is ... special), it's finally working on my collection!
In the meantime, is anyone else out there still hoarding a folder of old PulseEffects presets and looking to migrate? If you're in the same boat and would like to help me test the script before the "official" drop (not being able to either run or install Pulse Effects), please let me know. I'd be grateful for the feedback!
Hope this helps the community. Keep up the good work on Easy Effects!
A big thanks for the efforts, and this is my (tiny) contribution to the community.
Cheers!
