The confirmation is to ensure people won't sign-up with others/random emails. So you'd have to confirm each alert itself. I've been thinking about enhanced user management, where you sign-up with e-mail/password. Once logged in, I could assume the email address used is correct and allow new alerts, without confirmations. Would that work for you?
Hmm I see what you mean. So that no one can just enter my email address randomly and, since I've used the service before, I start getting alerts that I didn't set up.
In any case, if you're working on improving user management by using a login, I'd be happy to have one. I'm thinking you could also add more logic to the alert like, alert me when the price goes up a set price and also when it goes back down again; and have this recurrent/live.
I think improving user management, where you can manage your alerts would solve the issue.
Will take some time to fully implement though, but will add this to the backlog.
Hello Wesley, great work with this!
I realized that I need to confirm my email address every time I want to set up an alarm, even I have previously confirmed it.
Would it be possible to save the confirmed address for the future so I just set my alarm on the web?
Thanks and keep it up!
