re-authenticating Twoku after resetting your Twitch password is difficult

After resetting my Twitch password Twoku's home screen appears mostly unresponsive to me, to get to the login screen to re-authenticate I have to hit '*' on my remote then hit '<-' to go back. At which point I am able to move over to the login option. Additionally, it appears the app crashes (for me) after being left too long on the authentication code screen.

Also having this issue, though unfortunately the search and back trick isn't working for me. Using a TCL Roku TV, a 55R625. Also restarted the app several times, without improvement.

Edit: removing and re-adding the channel fixes it, which I expected. Temporary work around at least!
