Describe the bug
Whenever an order is placed on our WooCommerce store, the android app on my galaxy s23 ultra creates the new order notification twice.
The content of the notification is exactly the same and link to the same order in the app.

This is happening for some time now and persists after clearing all app data and/or reinstall of the app.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install the app and login.
  2. Wait for an order and receive 2 push notifications

Expected behavior
Only one push notification is received

Isolating the problem (mark completed items with an [x]):

  • I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only WooCommerce plugin is active.
  • This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active,
    or Storefront.
  • I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.

Mobile Environment
Please include:

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Android version: 14
  • WooCommerce Android version: 21.2
