Steps to Reproduce

  1. Edit a certificate template.
  2. Make the Heading box on the overlay have a narrow width.
  3. Add some long text into the Heading Text box so that it will be wider than the box when rendered. (You can also set a large font size.)
  4. Save changes.
  5. Preview the certificate template.

What I Expected

The Heading Text to wrap.

What Happened Instead

The Heading Text doesn't wrap, and instead extends off the edges of the certificate.

The user reports that the same issue happens for

Hi, is there any plan to fix this issue? Right now we can't use the certificate plugin because of this ... Thanks!

Coming up in our roadmap is a project to improve the certificate template builder, which is when I would expect us to be able to solve this issue more easily. There is another project ahead of that one though, so the release is likely to be out mid to late fall 2023.
