How to connect to EMMA ?

Hello,

I alread read some of the long discussions and tried to connect to my EMMA, but it does not work and I have no idea why.
Somewhere I found that the MOD Bus connectivity needs to be switched off. I checked this, and it was switched off, so this seems to be not the issue.

But maybe it is better to start from the beginning.

My EMMA is connected via WAN.
The IP adress I found in my FritzBox is 192.168.178.138
But then I got stucked.
I add the integration and chosed "type: Network"
I added as Host: 192.168.178.138
Port: 502
Slave IDs: 0
Clicked on OK, but the answer is "Verbindungsversuch fehlgeschlagen"
I also tried Slave IDs: 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 0,1 or 0,1,2 or 0,1,2,3 or 1,2
...nothing works
Where is the mistake?

What needs to be configured in EMMA?
EMMAs Softwareversion is: SmartHEMS V100R024C00SPC102

Any idea?

Hi Chris,

I have connected my EMMA recently. I also had some troubles doing it and I discovered that it doesn't work with Huawei Solar Version 1.5.0beta2 but it is working with Version1.5.0a1.

If the correct version is installed try the following steps:

• Connect your Ethernet-Cable to the WAN port of EMMA !NOT LAN!
• Activate the Modbus connectivity in the EMMA Setup
• Deactivate TLS
• Add Client-IP: The IP-Address where your Home-Assistant is running on.
• Add EMMA in Home-Assitant using Huawei Solar Type Network. Use "AUTO" for Slave-ID. Port 502 is correct.

Hi Andy,

I have installed Huawei Solar Integration version 1.4.1 (not 1.5.xx). Maybe this needs to be updated?

1. My fault, EMMA is of course connected on the WAN port (not on the LAN Port). I corrected this in my initial post.

2. Modbus TCP was deactivated, now I switched it on.

3. TLS was switched on, now I turned it off.

4. I added the IP Adress of my Home Assistant (192.168.178.31)

5. I tried to add EMMA in Home-Assistant using Huawei Solar, Host 192.168.178.138, Port 502, but it failed.

I tried "AUTO" as slave ID, but the error is: "Slave IDs must consist of a comma-separated list of integers"
I tried "0" as slave ID, but the error is: "Connection attempt failed"
I tried the option "Advanced: Increase authorizations" but failed again

Any idea how to solve the issue?

....okay, the version was the issue.

I installed version1.5.0a1 and now it seems to work.
