Currently, only clicking the "Book" button will re-direct you to the item page to book the item. This is in my opinion a bit annoying.

What is there desired outcome?

Should the button be removed when we link the card content itself?

I fear that the card itself (without the button) might be mistaken for a simple information container and not all users will discover that it provides a way to book the article. So I guess that linking the card itself should be fine as long as we keep the button.

Yes, that is fine with me! In all other places, CB has a link to the item where the item name is shown and the location respectively.
