Deploy as chrome extension?

Would it be possible to deploy whisper.email as a chrome extension?

Possible, yeah. This ties in with creating an API as well, not sure if that would be a great idea though. High potential for abuse.

Maybe rate limit it to 5 emails per day?

The problem with rate limiting though, is that to enforce it you need to be able to distribute api-keys. And to distribute api-keys, you have to have accounts, and I'm still really, really iffy on committing to making it that complicated.

In any case, we can make a chrome extension, with or without a public API. Just something to consider.
