Hello, as a Django developer, and having the experience of working with Rest API, I would like to contribute to the project.

Hi @ikthedar ! Sure that would be great! Did you want to do something with the API or also other stuff?

Hi @rolandgeider, thanks for your reply!
Sure, I can do other stuff too if needed. I want to contribute in anyway the project requires.

found some time already :)

One of the focus points for the next release is synchronizing data with other fitness trackers #1111. This still needs the feature/ingredient-images branch merged, which will bring a celery queue to handle such kinds of actions in the background, but that is basically done, just needs a bit of polishing. For some of the imports we will probably need to do some changes in our backend/db, part of the issues will be to think/decide what could be synced and how.

Other possible useful issues (basically everything that is in https://github.com/wger-project/wger/milestone/11 ):

Implementing something for #848 would also be really useful, but this will be a big feature and there is no conceptional work or anything like that done yet.

Besides that we plan on moving some of the frontend logic to react as to make it more dynamic. On this side there’s issues about just re-implementing this logic on the frontend (e.g. wger-project/react#11 ) but there are also „infrastructure“ issues like wger-project/react#381 or wger-project/react#437

Hey @rolandgeider, thanks for checking up on me. I got sick for a time being and wasn't able to put time for this. I will be starting on it this week.
