Hi.
I noticed that Dolphin doesn't show the icons when I run it through wprs.
I'm not sure if it's specific to dolphin or other apps might have a similar problem.
On other app like firefox or systemsettings,... I noticed a different font[size] is being used but other than that, everything looks fine.

You might need to switch the icon theme? I've seen similar things before with GTK apps (not sure if dolphin is GTK or not.) For me, I had to switch from breeze icons to oxygen icons in the system settings under application style.

Changing the icons didn't solve it for me.
Also in kde's systemsettings app there are some errors about missing files.
Are these two issues related?
I'm on NixOS which uses symlinks a lot. Can this affect it?

And you updated the icon theme for the remote machine, not just your local machine? I don't think wprs would affect the icons, so it should be that dolphin is misconfigured somehow on the other machine.

I'm not an expert on dolphin or NixOS, so I can't really say what would affect it. As long as dolphin can run normally locally it should be possible to pick it up with wprs. Googling around, it looks like dolphin missing icons is a pretty common problem. You could try following the archlinux wiki to see if anything is misconfigured (maybe the icon themes section is helpful?):

Hi.
I tried other system fonts but it didn't fix the issue. I think it's only limited to dolphin.
any other app that I tried, works great. 👍
