Currently there are somewhat conflicting reports about the M4 Mini and HiDPI support beyond 3072px. I was not able to make 3072px+ HiDPI resolutions work with my M4 mini except when connecting it to a 8K display, while some others reported success with some 5K ultrawides. However with flexible scaling you should be able to get beyond the 80% size - however I am not sure how acceptable a compromise would that be. |

Hi @waydabber !
I recently bought a Mac mini M4 (basic model), and I’m having issues with display quality on my Samsung C34J79 monitor (3440x1440 resolution) when connected via both Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI.
Problem
Text and visuals appear blurry overall. I tried enabling HiDPI to improve clarity, but it makes the entire interface too large, which I don’t like. I also tried the “Enable Flexible Scaling” option, but it didn’t help.
What I’ve Tried
Has anyone experienced this issue or have suggestions to improve clarity without making the interface too large? I’d appreciate any advice or guidance on advanced settings or software that could help me solve this. I’m getting a bit frustrated as I can’t seem to find a solution, and I’d love to use my monitor at its best.
