CPU spike when changing brightness has been solved by a reboot, but the app does still lag in any configuration of displays and OSD. With or without an external HDR display connected, the 6-7 second lag applies, though it does feel a little worse with one. Overall, brightness adjustment works well enough for me, I'm satisfied with OSD off, thanks. |

I'm using a MBP M1 Pro, just installed and changed a couple settings, notably using native XDR brightness upscaling. I've noticed that the program including its settings menu lags for around 6-7 seconds when I change the brightness. I figure the lag is something that can be investigated, but it isn't really an issue for normal use.
However, the nits animation also lags for me, and I also notice that sometimes it goes up to the expected level and then goes back down. I'd like to just disable this animation entirely, opting to either stick with the native brightness slider or to immediately display the brightness in nits without the simulated wheels.
