Apps using ScreenCaptureKit can lag when using Hi Resolution

Is this a known issue? It's not totally clear to me, but is BetterDisplay using ScreenCaptureKit in some scenarios and is it possible other apps using ScreenCaptureKit (especially when they are filtering, windows, etc) could be affected.

BetterDisplay uses ScreenCaptureKit for streaming and PIP windows only (permission must be given). It does not use it for normal operation. A HiDPI screen contains 4x as many pixels as LoDPI so obviously this might affect performance in various ways for screen capture apps.
