Creating a scaled resolution won't be useful here, you need a physical mode switch. Does the EDID serve the 1720x1440? You can check this by entering this:

Hi again. Thanks for getting back. This is what I get: /Applications/BetterDisplay.app/Contents/MacOS/BetterDisplay get -n=mi -connectionModeListAll So there is no 1720 by 1440 in this list. |

Hi.
I have a MacBook Pro with M1 Max and an external monitor with 3440 by 1440 resolution (Mi Monitor ultra wide 34").
I want to use the PbP (picture by picture) mode of the monitor so that i can use two sources simultaneously - the Mac and a windows laptop.
The problem is that both sources need to be 1720 by 1440.
The win11 laptop already supports this resolution whereas the Mac does not.
Therefore I tried to create a custom resolution of 1720 by 1440 but BetterDisplay won't let me.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot in advance.
