Actually, might be able to close as I think the following is a duplicate issue: #1774 |

If this is a native 3840x1600 timing, I believe you can create a 120Hz variant for it with an EDID override (use BD to download the EDID, AW EDID Editor to add a 120Hz variant and upload and apply the EDID using BD). If the display can accept 3840x1600@120Hz, it should work properly. |

Hello!
I am using the paid full version on my LG C2 (which is a 4k external monitor). For a lot of programming, I change the resolution so it functions (to 3840x1600) more as an ultra wide (makes it less distracting when editing code with reduced vertical space). This has the added benefit for an OLED, since you're using less pixels, allows a more sustained brightness.
My monitor supports taking in a 3840x1600 signal and draws it appropriately, however, this at 60 hz. I can run the monitor at 120 hz, so bandwidth isn't the issue:
I read through some other pages and saw if I used a "DummyDisplay", then that's locked at 60 hz by osx, but this resolution of 3840x1600 @ 60hz came out of the box in BetterDisplay. This 120hz function isn't a dealbreaker but would be a very nice quality of life addition as I noticed the difference flipping from the full 4k resolution to this.
Thanks!
