And I just realized I posted this in the wrong area. Headed to issues... Sorry about that. |

I do not think that this is a BetterDummy issue - it is simply a side effect of using HiDPI resolution mode on a lower-resolution display. In this mode a single logical pixel contains 4 framebuffer pixels, this is what Photoshop uses for best clarity. This is then scaled to the actual pixels of the display depending on the scaling ratio used for the currently selected resolution. The number of physical pixels on a non-HiDPI display might be closer to 1 while on a high-res display is closer to - or in case of perfect pixel alignment, exactly - 4. For a pixel artist who wishes to display an image in Photoshop with perfect precision, using any scaled display mode is seriously discouraged as with such a setup it is super hard to reach exact 1:1 or 2:1 etc. magnification (plus the OS desktop scaling algorithm itself does some additional image processing which distorts some aspects of the image). I hope this makes sense. :) |

When using Photoshop, images displayed at 100% are actually displaying at only 50%. So, you need to increase magnification from 100% to 200% in Photoshop to see images at their real 100% size. Turning on and off BetterDummy demonstrates this issue. I am using an LG 34UC88-B 34" UW-QHD 75Hz monitor using the display port from my M1 Mac Mini.
