HiDPI can not be enabled properly on ultrawide monitor 7680x2160

I have a samsung 57 inch ultrawide monitor. I tried to enable HiDPI, but it will displayed as 3840x2160, only 1/2 of the native resolution. picture is stretched.

How to enable HiDPI on this resolution?

You can get a max of 3840x1080 HiDPI on this display with Pro level Apple Silicon chips due to the 8K horizontal framebuffer limit.

I am not sure why the picture is stretched and the aspect ratio of the display is not kept. Is this a custom resoltuion? Do you normally have the full native resolution available as LoDPI?

3830x1080 for this monitor, will waste a lot of use-able area. but 7680x2160, the text is a little small. it is acceptable but the text is not very sharp and clear. So I hope I could turn on HiDPI to make text more readable.

the picture is stretched because it displayed as 4k, on a dual-4k monitor.(when tyr to turn on HiDPI) the picture is stretched x2 horizontally.

BTW, I'm using M2 Mac Studio Ultra.

You can enable 8K+ framebuffer size in the app and use virtual screen mirroring to have larger than 4K HiDPI desktop. But this will cause various issues, some apps (even first party apps) tend to crash when using a framebuffer larger than 8K horizontally.

Hope it will be a solution, not a workaround.
I think apple should support it, to compete with Windows. To be honest, windows does better on this.
