I use an external monitor and my MBP built-in monitor. I can't seem to find a way to get the dummy display to only be associated with the external monitor and not mirror the MBP built-in display. Is this possible and what steps do I need to take if so? |

Yes, it is possible. In System Preferences/Displays you need to set the dummy as mirror main for the external display only. If you are still using Big Sur, see this article about how to customize mirroring: https://macfinder.co.uk/blog/how-to-mirror-specific-displays-in-os-x-mirror-some-but-not-all-of-your-monitors-on-an-apple-system/ |
