why is there an artificial asymmetry that origin or position are permitted in text profile but only origin in image profile? suggest permitting in 1.2

The objective was to minimize changes to the Image Profile, especially in the case of tts:position, whose proponents were specifically negative about the Image Profile.

I do not think it is worth a change.

@skynavga we'd like to be able to resolve this before or during Thursday's call if possible.

The Timed Text Working Group just discussed tts:position should be permitted in image profile imsc#492, and agreed to the following:

  • RESOLUTION: We will not address this in IMSC 1.2 but leave on the backlog for potentially fixing in some future version.

<nigel> Pierre: I think this falls into the same bucket as #490. It is important to note but not worth a substantive change.
<nigel> Nigel: At this time?
<nigel> Pierre: Yes.
<nigel> Nigel: Any other views? The proposal is to not address in IMSC 1.2 but leave on the backlog.
<nigel> group: [no objections]
<nigel> RESOLUTION: We will not address this in IMSC 1.2 but leave on the backlog for potentially fixing in some future version.
