factor out

self._process()
                if self.scheduler_interval_seconds:
                    scheduler = BlockingScheduler()
                    scheduler.add_job(
                        self._process,
                        "interval",
                        seconds=int(self.scheduler_interval_seconds),
                    )
                    scheduler.start()
