Visit freezes at "Simplifying nesting relationships"

Hello,

I am running Visit 3.4.2, and I am having an issue viewing a two-level (AMR) dataset. I can open the file, but when I try to make any plot, Visit freezes at "Simplifying nesting relationships." I tried running with "-debug 5", but I did not find any errors.

I've been using the same software to create these hdf5 files for years, and this is the first time I've encountered this issue. Still, it is possible that the hdf5 file was written improperly. I've attached one of the files that reproduce the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @EdSantilli, sorry for the delayed response. I have downloaded your file and verified that I see the same behavior in multiple versions of VisIt. I also don't see any obvious issues in the debug logs. If we use subset selection before drawing plots, it looks like either level can be draw if the other level is turned off, but not both at the same time.

Are you still running into this issue? I am going to create a ticket for this so we can examine further.
