Unable to open Excel on Android

I am able to use FileView.open(path) to open files with extensions *docx., *.pdf, but not .xlsx file on android. Currently using Android version 12.

found that if your device doesn't have a default file viewer, it will not open. I had to download Microsoft Excel to open it.

On the pixel, came with google drives and google docs. was able to open every type of file besides xslx. Sheets won't work, but microsoft excel will. Surprised android doesn't have a default file viewer like iOS
