Can we show stats in CP?

We are scoping a wishlist implementation for a client, and they have asked for some reporting/visibility within the CP:

CMS visibility - reporting stats on how many people are using the playlist feature and what the lists are composed of. There could be some value to know what content is most saved. For example, some of the most popular content in playlists could be candidates to add somewhere in existing coursework or future coursework.

I'm vaguely aware that there is a CP section that shows all of the wishlists that have been created by the user base, and that any of these lists can be clicked on and viewed. This gives a broad indication of how much the feature is being used, but does little to help surface certain popular entry being saved.

Is there a built in custom field that could be added to an entry layout that could indicate the total number of times it has been saved?

There isn't but you could use something like Preparse to write your own Twig logic that would show this sort of data.

Happy to entertain more stats, although I'm not sure what form they should take:

• More columns in the List index?
• Dashboard widgets?
• Wishlist dashboard?
