What happened?

Hey there, I'm the creator of winesapOS! Our goal is to provide a portable gaming experience where the OS is designed to be installed on external storage. Ironically, we did not support Ventoy until very recently.

  • The good news: it boots!
  • The bad news: our resize root file system script does not work.

I see that Ventoy creates device mappers similar to LVM but not exactly. I'm unable to resize those despite having first increased the size of the image. I have a whole bunch of logs and more information here:

I can provide an image to test with. It's only available in an alpha build right now. It's a raw disk image.

My main goal is to be able to expand the root partition to fill up more space. Otherwise, it'll only have about 1 GiB of free storage. Then it'll have enough space for installing games and updates. Does anyone have any hints on how to do so?

Here's an image that can be tested with: https://winesapos.lukeshort.cloud/repo/iso/winesapos-4.2.0/_test/
