Phase 6: Advanced Features & Performance Optimization

Started: 2025-11-26 Status: Starting Target: Production-grade performance with 85%+ coverage and optimized execution

Goals

  1. Performance Optimization Implementation

    • Implement Priority 1-2 optimizations from benchmarks
    • Lazy initialization for Executor components
    • Memory allocation improvements
    • JSON marshaling optimization
  2. Test Coverage Enhancement

    • Executor: 41.8% → 65%+ coverage
    • Focus on low-coverage functions (executeAction: 18.3%, executeAI: 21.4%, executeCloud: 11.5-27.3%)
  3. Advanced Feature Implementation

    • Parallel test execution
    • Browser pooling and reuse
    • Configurable performance profiles
    • Resource monitoring and limiting
  4. Security Hardening

    • Input validation improvements
    • Secure file operations
    • Resource sanitization
    • Audit logging enhancement
  5. Production Monitoring

    • Real-time performance metrics
    • Health check endpoints
    • Resource usage tracking
    • Error rate monitoring

Performance Optimization Analysis

Priority 1: Executor Initialization (63µs, 138KB, 747 allocs)

Current Issues:

  • Eager allocation of all components (cloud, AI, enterprise)
  • 747 memory allocations on creation
  • 138KB allocated even when components not used

Solution: Implement lazy initialization with sync.Once

Priority 2: JSON Marshaling (1.5µs, 817B, 11 allocs)

Current Issues:

  • Standard JSON marshaling for hot paths
  • Repeated marshaling of similar structures
  • No JSON pooling for frequent operations

Solution: Custom serialization and object pooling

Additional Optimization Opportunities

  1. executeAction Coverage (18.3%): Missing tests for many action types
  2. AI Module Performance: Large dataset processing can be parallelized
  3. Cloud Operations: File I/O can be optimized with buffering
  4. Browser Resources: No pooling or reuse mechanisms

Implementation Plan
