Announcement: Introducing Tradeoffs Document

For anyone interested in a proposing an idea for UUID alternate text encodings, this document has been put together: https://github.com/uuid6/new-uuid-encoding-techniques-ietf-draft/blob/master/README.md

Proposals for other possible encodings, or other important concerns are welcome. Please submit a pull request with your changes. Kyzer and I will try to go ahead and merge anything we think is sensible as a concern or possible solution, but also shepherd the process and help ensure we keep the document manageable and useful.

The objective is to get an accurate matrix outlining the various concerns (problems we're trying to address) and possible solutions. This way discussions can become more directed and focused and we can, once all of the major ideas are clearly expressed, start narrowing things down and figure out what needs to be done to arrive at a decision for what to put in the proposed document.

I will go back through the Issue tracker threads and see if there are any considerations we did not add as a column.

If you have a consideration that we missed and you want it mapped as a column/section; but do not want to add a PR. Add new issue on the tracker and we can address it.

This ensures we keep each consideration topic to its own discussion thread. (Note, I may enable the discussion tab and keep discussion topics to that space and clear the issue tracker to actual issues, change requests and other items related to code/text changes.)
